Navakarnataka Publications Pvt. Ltd. will launch nine books, including translated works, here on Sunday.

Writer Jayant Kaikini will release the books at a function at the Indian Institute of World Culture, Basavanagudi, in Bangalore.

According to a release, the books that will be released are: Yelu Parvatagalu Ondu Nadi by geologist M. Venkataswamy; Eeshanya Bharatada Aadhunika mathhu Ithihya Kathegalu , a compilation and translation of stories from Nagaland, Assam, Mizoram, Bodoland and Manipur; Mahim Khari , a Marathi work translated by Chandrakanta Pokale; Mullugalli , a translation of Roopanarayana Sonakara's Hindi book by R.P. Hegde; Ujwala Kidigalu , a translation of Aravinda Gupta's work by H.N. Geetha; Kadali Hokku Bande , a work by Central Sahitya Academy Award winning writer Rehmat Tarikere; Baanadige Bandhanave by Mahabhaleshwara Rao; Bharatiya Khabhouta Vijnanada Pitamaha Prof. Venu Bapu by M.S.S. Murthy; and Lokpal, The law in the making by Y.G. Muralidharan.
